Our Story

Your Extraordinary Event Provides Employment for Adults with Disabilities

In 2007, a group of parents in Chapel Hill got together to form a non-profit organization with a mission of providing real employment for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. One of their first businesses was the rental of their building on Elliott Road for parties, meetings and more.

The Event Center provides regular employment and serves as an ambassador to the community about the abilities of this population. Extraordinary Ventures is creating a new model of non-profit organization that is not government supported but based on private donations and the products and services of the various business ventures they establish.
