On Thursday, November 21, 2013, from 7pn to 9pm, the second annual “Artful Affair” celebration of the work of our Extraordinary Artists will be displayed for families, friends, and the community to come and see. Twenty-five young adults with autism or other developmental disabilities have participated in an art class that has explored a variety of mediums and artistic styles. They have learned that with art there is not a “right way” or a “wrong way”. They have discovered that everyone will use their own special vision and gifts to create something of beauty. What we can learn by seeing their art and engaging in conversations with them about their work is just a little insight into their imaginations and world-view. This event is free and open to the public. There are refreshments, a raffle, door prizes, a silent auction, a red-carpet photo booth and most of all the artists with their art. Please stop by to congratulate them on their achievements and share in the excitement of this opportunity to showcase their abilities. Donations are welcome and money from the raffles and silent auction will be used to continue hosting the art classes for this population. Sponsors for the event include: The Residence Inn, Whole Food, Vimala’s Curryblossom Cafe, Aveda, The Print Shop, Happymess Art Studios, The Arc of Orange County, Chick-Fil-A, Il Palio at The Siena Hotel, and much more!
